Hinton, Boland and Nunley Post Lucas Oil NOW600 Series Victories During Sooner 600 Week Event at Red Dirt Raceway

Inside Line Promotions – MEEKER, Okla. (June 11, 2021) – Chelby Hinton, Johnny Boland and Jett Nunley Visited Victory Lane on Friday night during the midpoint of the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division Sooner 600 Week.

Red Dirt Raceway hosted Round 3 of the five-race event and welcomed the most entries thus far during Sooner 600 Week with each division showcasing at least 30 drivers.

Hinton closed to within 20 points of the lead in the Stock Non-Wing championship standings thanks to a first-ever trip into the NOW600 Series Winner’s Circle. Gavin Miller, who won each of the two previous nights, earned a runner-up result with Matt Moore ending third. Kenton Brewer advanced from 15th to fourth and Boland rallied from 13th to fifth.

Points leader Colby Sokol, Miller, Hinton and Blayne Buntin were the heat race winners. Brewer and Brady Ross each won a B Main.

Boland posted his first NOW600 Series Winged ‘A’ Class win of the season after starting third. Corbin Rueschenberg recorded his third consecutive podium with a second-place showing. Ross was third with Aaron Jesina fourth and Trey Zorn fifth.

Zorn, Brett Osborn, Jesina and Ross claimed the heat races and Benson captured the B Main.

Nunley took advantage of starting on the pole to score his second straight Restricted ‘A’ Class victory. Elijah Gile was second with Talin Turner, Ryder Wells and 13th-starting William Conner rounding out the top five, respectively.

Jaxton Wiggs, Gile, Nunley and Turner posted heat race wins. Jack Thomas was the B Main winner.

The penultimate round of Sooner 600 Week is Saturday at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Okla. The pits open at 3 p.m. with the drivers meeting at 5:45 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
