USAC WSO sprints to run 50-lap feature at Red Dirt Raceway Saturday
Championship Weekend racing continues on Sunday
By John Rittenoure, MEEKER, Okla. (September 30, 2019) - Two nights of racing are on tap this weekend for Red Dirt Raceway and it all begins on Saturday night.
The Championship Weekend and Fan Appreciation Night will feature USAC Wingless Sprints of Oklahoma in a 50-lap feature on Saturday. Defending USAC champion Brett Wilson of Coweta leads the points race and will be looking for his third win of the season. Johnny Kent of Kiefer, Broken Arrow’s Cameron Hagin, Waylon Weaver from Claremore and Kellyville’s Ben Frey round out the top five.
Sport Mods, Pure Stocks, Hornets, Dwarfs, Mini Stocks, 600cc Winged Micros and 600cc Non-Winged Micros will round out the night will a full program in each class.
The Championship Weekend concludes Sunday with Sport Mods, Pure Stocks, Hornets, Mini Stocks, Restricted Winged Micros and Non-Winged Micros seeing action.
Racing on Saturday begins at 6 p.m. with Sunday starting at 4:00
General admission is $15, high school students and younger are $5, kids 5 and under are FREE.
Red Dirt Raceway is located on state highway 18 between Chandler and Shawnee. Exit I-44 at Chandler and follow highway 18 south. From I-40 take the highway 18 exit and head north through Meeker.
