USAC Non-Wing Sprints will highlight Friday’s program
By John Rittenoure, MEEKER, Okla. (April 1, 2019) - Friday night racing returns to Red Dirt Raceway this weekend with the start of the Summer Series.
The USAC sanctioned Wingless Sprints of Oklahoma will open their 2019 season Friday on the Red Dirt quarter-mile with a full slate of exciting open wheel racing. Joining the sprinters will be Sport Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Hornets and the 600cc Non-Wing Micros in their first night of weekly racing.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. Drivers meeting will be at 7:10 followed by hot laps. The first green flag falls at 8.
General admission is $15. High school students and younger are FREE (must show student ID). Tailgate area is $60 per carload (everyone must be in the vehicle and only ONE ice chest period vehicle). Pit passes are $30 (5 years and younger are only $10).
Red Dirt Raceway is located on state highway 18 between Chandler and Shawnee. Exit I-44 at Chandler and follow highway 18 south. From I-40 take the highway 18 exit and head north through Meeker.
