Weekend Recap...Spring Nationals...RESULTS!!!

99 cars were on hand for the first(Saturday) night of the Spring Nationals at Red Dirt Raceway and they put on a heck of a show as the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series, the Sooner Limited Modified Series, the Western Outlaw Pure Stock Series, and the Hornet Cars were well represented on the 1/4 red clay oval! Drivers from seven states battled it out but only six made it to the Red Dirt Raceway Winners Circle!

Mark Smith put on a driving clinic coming from the last starting spot in the Pure Stock B-Main to win the Western Outlaw Pure Stock Series A Feature!... Chris Cochran was selling t-shirts on the high side of the track as he hustled past Frank Flud for the win in the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series Non-Wing Feature event!... Flyin' Ryan Timms made it three straight feature wins in Restrictor Micro action while Frank Flud set sail for the win in the A-Class main event!...Noah Boller came down from Beatrice, Nebraska to win a hard fought battle in the Hornet Class... Robert Elliot always runs good in Lincoln County Oklahoma as Saturday was no different as he held off consistent challenges from Lee Horky, Hesston Shaw, and Todd Decker to claim the top spot in the Sooner Limited Modified Series A-Feature!

Unfortunately, Sundays Spring National Finale was lost due to rain just before heat race action started. The Sooner Limited Modified Series and the Western Outlaw Pure Stock Series events will be made up THIS SATURDAY, March 16th as they have been added to The Red Dirt Cup which already featured the Oil Capital Racing Series Sprint Cars, the Sooner Late Model Series, and Turf Tire Micros!....The Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series portion of Sundays show will be made up later in the season with a date to be announced soon!
