A healthy crowd was on hand to witness a great night of racing at Red Dirt Raceway - Meeker, OK for our Fall Nationals! The race track was very fast as cooler temps kept the moisture pumping to the top of the racing surface all evening! We are going to keep this "write up" pretty short as we have to get on the road for a family function today but we do want to recognize our winners....
Kevin McSperitt Jr topped Mini Stock action while Daison Pursley Racing looked more like a fighter pilot as flew to victory in the Non-Wing Micros! 26 Pure Stocks were in the pits but it was Mark Mullins who had his #48 Camaro at the front of both his heat race and feature making for a clean sweep! Ryder Laplante Racing topped Restrictor Micro action as he and Ryan Timms were moving on! Stephanie Chapa is a woman on a mission in the Hornet class as she won her second main event of the season in only her third outing! Samuel Stegeman topped the Mini Late Model/Mini Mod feature as these drivers all put on a great show! Shawn Jorski took the Donny McConnell owned Sport Mod to the winners circle after a great battle with Matt Beasley throughout the Main event!

Note: All the drivers did a great job last night but I want to especially recognize the Pure Stock drivers/teams. The drivers did a great job and I thought at one point we were going to go 20 laps "green to checkered" with over twenty cars on the track! The drivers gave each other room on the track and the racing was fantastic!

Next race: This Friday, October 5th is Championship Night as it is our last Friday night race of the year and also our last points night of the year! Pure Stocks, Sport Mods, Hornets, Dwarfs, and the USAC Wingless Sprints of Oklahoma will be on the racing card....
THEN on Sunday, October 7th is our 2nd Annual Salute to State Fair Speedway with the Oil Capital Racing Series Winged Sprinters along with TOPLESS Sport Mods, Non-Wing Micros, and also the Red River Vintage Oval Cars that will not only be on display in the tailgate area, but will also be making some laps on the track!
