Inside Line Promotions – DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (Aug. 27, 2018) – The Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by MyRacePass will return to action this weekend when the series visits Red Dirt Raceway for the East/West Showdown.

The two-day event on Saturday and Sunday at the bullring in Meeker, Okla., will feature all three of the premier series classes – Stock Non-Wing, Winged ‘A’ Class and Restricted ‘A’ Class.

Daniel Shaffer enters the weekend with a 69-point lead in the Stock Non-Wing championship standings thanks to a series-leading nine top fives and 13 top 10s. Daison Pursley ranks second with Trey Burke only 92 points out of the lead.

The tightest points showdown is in the Winged ‘A’ Class division as Jim Woods is only two points ahead of Pursley. Frank Flud is third in the standings – 54 points out of the top spot.

Laplante, who leads the division with five feature victories, holds a seven-point advantage over Timms – the most recent winner. Kale Drake is 75 points behind Laplante.

A dozen drivers have scored at least one Stock Non-Wing win this season. Chris Cochran, Hank Davis, Flud and Shaffer are tied atop the list with two victories apiece while Chris Andrews, Jerry McGinnis, Pursley, Chase Randall, Jase Randolph, Morgan Roan, Colby Stubblefield and Jason Tyer each have one triumph.
